​Stumbled upon grizzs shop today in Elgin after looking for a closer knife making supply store. Spent a good hour in there talking with him. He is a good dude with a great small business. I'm so happy to have found this place. Up until today I had to buy my knife making supplies online without being able to put my hands on the stuff I wanted before buying. He has some super sweet stuff in his shop and great prices. He is a hard worker and good people. He showed us his whole shop and was very friendly and down to earth. Not only that, but he helps other metal workers. Alot of his knifes and tools for sale are made by local blacksmiths and bladesmiths. Small town people helping small town people. I love it. Grizz is the man! I just happened by the feed store one day for a work thing. I met Grizz, and he couldn’t be a nicer dude. I just happened to have my beater chefs knife that I had the tip broken off for sometime. Grizz fixed it for me in no time, straight as an arrow and scary sharp. Grizz also sold me on an amazing custom knife that he offers free lifetime sharpening which I love. I’ve since had a few knives sharpened and repaired and always super happy with his work. Grizz is super passionate about what he does and it shows I would go see him more often if I could but it’s always well worth the trip to have my knives super sharp.

I just finished sending my second batch of knives for sharpening. I am relieved to find an expert in the field, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. I sent some really expensive knives, and the result was perfection. One of the things I really appreciated was the personal communication, and deep background on knife care.
